Terms of Service
Effective 1 April 2025
1. Service provider
The Menevä Vastuu service is provided by Meneva Oy (hereinafter "service provider"). The service is intended for Finnish companies to fulfil their obligations under the Contractor Liability Act (1233/2006).
2. Description of the service
Menevä Vastuu is an online service where contracting companies can monitor the validity of their subcontractors' statutory documents and receive reminders before expiry. Subcontractors upload their documents to the service, making the document status visible to all linked contractors. The service provider manually reviews uploaded documents.
3. Registration
Using the service requires registration. The user agrees to:
- provide accurate and up-to-date company and personal information
- keep their login credentials confidential
- notify the service provider of any changes to their information
- not create more than one account for the same company
4. Document uploads
The subcontractor is responsible for the accuracy, authenticity, and currency of documents they upload. Uploading false or outdated documents is prohibited and may result in account suspension. The service provider has the right to reject a document that does not meet requirements.
5. Pricing and billing
Service pricing is described on the service's sign-in page and in the separate price list. The service provider reserves the right to change the price list by giving at least 30 days' notice by email. Subscription services are billed according to the agreed billing cycle.
6. Service availability
The service provider aims to keep the service available around the clock. Planned maintenance windows may occur and will be announced in advance. The service provider is not liable for unexpected outages or any damages resulting from them.
7. Intellectual property
All content, structure and appearance of the service are the property of the service provider or its licensors. The user does not have the right to copy, modify or resell the service or any part of it.
8. Limitation of liability
The service is a tool for managing contractor liability obligations and does not replace legal advice. The service provider is not liable for:
- the accuracy of documents uploaded by users
- interpretations or sanctions imposed by authorities
- damages resulting from service outages
- indirect damages or loss of revenue
9. Data retention
Documents uploaded to the service and monitoring events are retained for 24 months from the date they were created. After this period, data is deleted automatically. Contractors are recommended to download the audit log regularly — at least once a year — for their own records and potential regulatory inspections.

10. Termination
The user may terminate the agreement at any time by notifying the service provider by email. The service provider has the right to close an account if the user materially breaches these terms of service.
11. Applicable law and dispute resolution
These terms of service are governed by Finnish law. Disputes shall be resolved primarily through negotiation. If no agreement is reached, disputes shall be settled in the District Court of Helsinki.
